Elemental Alchemy is a form of Qi Gong + Energy Medicine that creates a powerful understanding of our chi (energy) flows. It gives us ways to tap into vibrational medicine. It helps us refine and enliven the intrinsic healing potential for ourselves, for others and the planet. It enables us to live with optimum vitality. It is a blend of Elemental Chi Kung, Energy Medicine practices, and plant medicine.

We are a blend of two vital harmonics - Elementals and Alchemy.

(including organs and meridians for each element) and then into the deeper chi flows of the alchemy series.

As part of these modules, using Willa's knowledge as a medicine woman, we tap into plant medicine and essential oils for each element - using all our senses to unlock powerful healing and rejuvenation.

The International School of Elemental Alchemy Teacher/Practitioner Training

Elemental Alchemy is a progressive approach to qi gong that incorporates classic styles and philosophies with modern bodymind and energy concepts. The approach explores body and chi awareness as a way to deepen into our internal chi flow through movement, stillness, meditation and breath. We enable a creative space to allow our essential nature to express itself and bring about transformation. The approach emphasizes the five elements as the foundation of qi gong. The workshops are an ongoing series that interested participants can enter at any point. The workshops can either be attended individually or as a whole series.

There are ten, 2-day workshops, plus post-graduate workshops for further development plus an annual retreat and the overall intention of the workshops is to present qi gong as a way to open to a deeper and richer connection to the life force within the human system and within nature. In particular, to listen and be aware of the subtle power of your health and become aware of movements of chi within your body and mind.

For those who want to teach Elemental Alchemy qi gong- you must attend all 10 workshops plus a retreat as well as completing additional homework. This must be completed within 3 consecutive years.

The workshops will teach the following skills:

  • Self reflection

  • Stability and groundedness

  • Stillness of the body and mind

  • Sensitivity to chi/energy

  • Use of intention

  • Strength, Stamina and flexibility

  • Synchronicity of movement, along with an understanding and appreciation of the body's structure

  • Traditional chinese medical concepts and taoist philosophy

  • Elemental Alchemy programmes include a unique bonus of plant medicine and energy/vibrational medicine for each module.

I have been practicing mainstream yoga for a couple of years now. Out of curiosity for other mindful movement practices I attended both the Metal and Wood workshops this year.

Prior to both workshops I had been feeling a little knocked around by the seasonal change, as well as the demands of modern life.

Not knowing what to expect I was astounded to leave each workshop with a deeply restored mind-body balance and a renewed perspective on current challenges. Specifically there was resolution of some mysterious aches and pains that had not responded to physiotherapy.

Willa had a wonderfully unique approach to qi gong by interweaving plant medicine and meditation. The synergy of these practices enriched the workshop experience, and made for good break time conversation.

As a facilitator, Willa’s authentic presence gives you permission to engage with the practices intuitively. I really liked this aspect of the workshops as there was no mind chatter about the precise right or wrong execution of a movement, enabling a deeper connection with experience itself

A weekend of earthing, qi gong, energy medicine and plant medicine.

In this module we explore the cycles and rythums of nature, tuning into her great wisdom and allowing the soft, still gentle earth to heal us in myriad ways. Tuning into the earth and the earth element automatically reduces tension, reduces inflammation, deepens the breath and calms the nervous system. We also tune into the stomach, spleen and pancreas and bring healing chi to those areas that help us digest life.

How to connect with our Earth body, balancing the digestion and endocrine systems. Tuning into the natural healing qualities of Earth. Bringing stillness and balance. Where doing and Being become one - the earth never hurries. Slowing down to EARTH-pace.

The METAL element helps us establish and maintain clear boundaries. Helps us open to our breath and our breathing and helps us understand what is right for us - what to say YES to and what to say NO to. It helps us sort our SHIT out - allowing us to release with ease what is no longer serving us. TheMetal element also helps us draw in what we DO want - and helps us release any abundance issues and blocks.

We will work with Wei-chi - our protective chi - which strengthens the immune system and creates a protective energy sheild around us.

This module explores the Element of WATER. We dive deep into our watery soma, our emotions, taking us deeper into unchartered territory to open us up to more freedom. This module is about replenishment and REST. And is perfect for our wintery wonderland approaching.

We will look at finding flow and accessing our Jing (deep primal life-force). We will be looking at the properties of Water found in Nature and learning how they manifest in the body. We will tune into the Kidneys and Bladder bringing healing and resourcing as well supporting our emotional body through movement forms and meditations that support the Water Element. This module supports deep replenishment and REST - allowing our bodies to nourish, unwind and be deeply resourced.

This workshop looks at the WOOD Element, the element of growth and transformation and the opening to SPRING. We tune into the magic of spiral - from the universe to our DNA. We will embrace the grace of the DEER. Combining the flows of qi gong, plant medicine and energy medicine we open to cleansing, purifying the liver, letting go of stored anger and creating more room for joy and light in our systems. The Wood Element creates a light delicate flow of Chi through the whole system.

FIRE - Purification - the cleansing power of the fire

Cleansing and clearing stagnation

Enlivening and nourishing the heart, blood, circulatory system

Opening to more joy - opens, which expands and uplifts our system.

Clearing any blocks to receiving the nourishment from the world around us

Tending the HEART FIRE - the sacred fire of the heart
The season of Summer and expansion
The Upward expanding energy of Fire as well as the earthy, grounded qualities found in Fire - cultivating a balanced FIRE in ourselves so that our fire fuels our passion and doesn't burn us out

This workshop works with the deep energy forces that came together to create you in your mama’s womb - it is embryological qi gong - and holds and works with the original essence and blueprint of why you came to earth in the first place. It helps you to process anything that happened during that time that wasn’t ideal in an easeful, soft and gentle way - it is life transformational and truly profound.

Working and being with all five elements we work our way through the Shen and Ko cycles, we discover how the seasons and elements work together, how to balance the elements, which element we identify most with and where we might be depleted or less-identified. We look at how we can balance our own personality and body systems using the Shen and Ko cycles and the elements to develop a self-healing way of utilising all the elements for the fullest sense of wellbeing. We come together with the guidance and nature of the alchemist and begin our journey towards inner transformation.

This is superpower qi gong - The forms focus on twisting and rising movements that create powerful energy flows in the body which practiced regularly lead to increased health and longevity.

Although it is a part of the Qi Gong family it is also a distinctly separate and a more ancient Daoist practise. Nei Qong is a very highly developed internal practice, not a specific set of exercises as in Qi Gong although there are forms and exercises and movements which can seem similar. Nei Qong is a life long practice of continual refinement and development. This workshop will give you a foundation for this discipline. At a basic level Nei Qong will strengthen the body, the immune system and the mind. When that has been achieved the more refined spiritual practices (the Shen) can be explored.

Connect more powerfully to your Chi field, discover its composition and learn ways of making Chi quicken and move more deeply through it. I wanted to write to you and reflect on the wonderful weekend of Wood. I am so glad I attended and it has made me even more excited about continuing the journey through the elements. But for now, the tree forms and the unfurling into spring are doing me a world of good. I can just feel it.

You have such a wonderful way of holding space for people Willa. The right mix of talking and explanation, silence and lightness - whenever I am doing practise, I can hear you saying “Now shake it out the front, shake it out the side” then picture you doing a little boogie. Class is such fun.

Willa, since last week Thursday I feel so much more grounded it’s crazy!
I haven’t manage to shake and wei chi every day, but I tried, and it’s the first time in three months that I am not completely overwhelmed every day and cry out of exhaustion and anxiety.
I even had some silly moments and could laugh again the other day, which only now I realised I haven’t in a long time. Thank you.
